You know only too well that GRT pupils are amongst the lowest achieving in our schools. They need to feel included and motivated in order to make progress. Above all, they need resources that engage and don’t patronise. On this page you will find essential resources to boost the skills and self-esteem of Travellers who may be out of step with their peers.

With up-to-date settings and real-life topics our titles are designed specifically to engage young people and give them skills they need for work and life. As GRT families are more static they need every opportunity to develop their potential. Our resources are adept in giving students the skills they need to progress and develop new work and life opportunities - all at an accessible level.

Below you will find details on our award-winning resources for tackling literacy, numeracy, life skills and employability for your learners – all are suitable for outreach as well as in-school provision (for alternative education options as well as GCSEs).

Helping young people deal with real-life decisions

Making sound decisions and choosing appropriate behaviours are essential skills for life. This set of photocopiable workbooks will help young Travellers develop the strategies, behaviours, and attitudes they need in order to achieve these goals.

The series contains useful tips and reading and writing exercises that guide young people through how to handle all sorts of life situations including: coping with conflict and anti-social behaviour as well as self-reflection and awareness. If some of your GRT students are virtual non-readers, then our FastTrack publications will help you to teach very basic literacy skills in a totally non-patronising way. FastTracks comprise four practical, complete teaching programmes guaranteed to improve non-readers' basic literacy skills.
